Camfrog Video Chat App Reviews

My camfrog used to work great and I had a lot of fun with it. I bought camfrog pro and now since the last update of El Capitan it has croaked on the lily pad. PalTalk bought it and I have written many times to support and they really do not want to make it work. PayPal ,I think wants you to get the latest version of what ever they have and you spend money eventually. I do have a CamFrog Pro key and now even the version I just downloaded here on Aplle is not logging in. SO what is happening Apple, Camfrog and PayPal. Is it all about more money or what ?

how to active Camfrog version Pro ??

Crashes, %80 times hangs at loggin in screen and buggy. Needs to be fixed, until that it is one star for me.

It has a ton of bugs and crashes almost every time . The update was pointless to begin with.. I had to erase and re install OS X because Mavericks and this new version of Camfrog wrecked into each other… DO NOT INSTALL UNTILL THEY FIX THE APP.. Irritating…… Camfrog owners should find a new hobby cuz their app is garbage. DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM. IDIOTS. *** APPLE NEEDS TO REMOVE THEIR APPLICATIONS FROM THEIR STORE !!!!

This fixes being able to view most cams in the camfrog-hosted chat rooms, plus adds the green color for names who have Camfrog Pro. But only 4 stars, because the App snapshots above show bold black names for Pro users — they are from the previous version!

Super fun app!!! talk to people from around the world by voicee chatting and seeing a video— version 6.5 even has an 18+ section still avaiable..

maveric 10.9.4 and the software wont even open even after the recent update..crashes instantly ..

4 Stars because fun app. Not 5 because getting updates to problems from the developer is slow! Installing this app on OS X 10.10 (Yosemite) will result in your camera feed being very slow and buggy. The more cams you open the worse your quality gets. This wasn’t an issue in 10.9. I wouldn’t invest too much in this version until Camfrog releases an update.

Camfrog used to be pretty good for Mac, even though the developers treated the Mac users like second class citizens. Many of the features available for the Windows version were never implemented for the Mac OS. After the yosemite update, Camfrog has become useless. Sluggish and frustrating. The developers now seem to have little or no interest in fixing it. Now they spend all their time writing cutesy cartoons and dreaming up ways for the already lifetime members to spend more money for silly features like colored user names and such.I really miss being able to chat with friends via Camfrog, but Im not holding my breath waiting for them to fix the Mac version. It should also be said that out of 170+ applications on my mac, camfrog was the ONLY one to become unusable after the Yosemite update

If you have Yosemite don’t bother. Once you start opening cams your video will lag out and freeze up. My self along with other mac users can confirm this. I have Camfrog on Mavericks on another machine and it works good on that OS.
